Hope House provides care and accommodation for up to 4 young people aged between 11-17 years with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD). It provides accommodation as a transitional placement, aiming to reduce behaviours and promote emotional well-being. The home supports young people who require boundaries, routine to be nurtured and living in a safe and homely environment to help them succeed.

Hope House is a five-bedroom property situated in a quiet area of Lincolnshire. The 4-bedroomed home has two floors, consisting of a new kitchen, conservatory, dining area and a utility area. There is a drive at the front of the property for up to four vehicles. There is also a rear garden and patio area. All young people are actively encouraged to help cook and wash their own clothes, where is appropriate.

Each young person has their own bedroom; they have chance to personalise their bedroom colours to make them feel more homely during their stay. The young person and staff on shift have a key.

There is suitable furniture but young people are able to bring their personal belongings, where appropriate. This can be discussed as part of their moving in Plan. All staff at Hope House are confident and consistent to ethnic identity; it is a high priority to meet the needs of our young people from all groups in the community and must show understanding, awareness and sensitivity towards all young people at Hope House.

It is vital that we recognise self-identity and the young people’s pride regarding their culture, race and religion.
