Therapeutic Provision:  Pillars of Parenting Emotional Warmth Model via Consultant Psychologist

At PureCare, we believe that young people should be continually nurtured and offered support relevant to their specific needs. We understand that it is essential that young people have the right for consistent support, to enable them to develop appropriate life skills that would aid them to integrate within the wider community and society.

We provide a therapeutically informed environment for our young people, in conjunction with Dr Rachael King. The Pillars of Parenting model we use is dedicated to improving life opportunities for children in our care. Our goal is to empower adults in the parenting role (our RSWs) to form positive relationships and be a kind, helpful influence on the mental health and well-being of young people in public care.

Our work is to inform and support using psychological insights from research and to move from opinion-based decisions, to practice that is based on evidence from attachment science, using young people’s strengths and ensuring trauma-informed practice.

As a small provider, PureCare has the ability to provide bespoke care packages for young people – the flexibility awarded to a small provider allows us to ensure our care is personal for each young person, as well as enabling us to implement new processes and technology into our home. This has included award winning services such as Mind of My Own.

Our home recently received the rare accolade of receiving a Good Ofsted rating within just 3.5 months of opening.
