Roundhouse Care offers high quality therapeutic care to young people, who have experienced early trauma and abuse, which may have caused them to have attachment difficulties that impact on all
areas of their development. (Ofsted – “outstanding”). We use principles of attachment theory to create the therapeutic environment within the homes and to address the feelings and behaviours of the young people in our care. All staff are trained to offer therapeutic re-parenting based on attachment theory using elements of the Dan Hughes model.

We aim to enrol all staff on the Diploma in Childcare within 6 months of their joining us. Therapeutic training and support is an on-going process, supported by our clinical psychologists and social worker. We are able to work alongside a specialist mental health team who can offer assessment, psychiatric overview, individual work with young people and support and guidance to the staff

We have excellent outcomes for young people with low levels of physical intervention, young people missing from care and high levels of engagement with education and placement stability. Our young people maintain a link with us once they move to independence and continue to do well, as they move into their adult lives.
